I went ahead and self-published on Lulu here: http://www.lulu.com/content/hardcover-book/song-of-destiny/6537006

I thought I might like to share it with some friends, so you guys can share that link. Otherwise, this is a private publication; I don't want to have it a public publication because I feel that once the economy begins to pick up, I should like to pursue an agent and a better publication method.

Writing sample

geek, hot
So, I thought I'd pre-write a scene I'm planning for Lullabys of Brotherhood, the second story in The Empyreal Sphere. Arladon, a swordsman who has traveled with Rinir since her village was burned down by elf hunters, finally has an outburst with her. Rinir has been becoming rather friendly with a drow they met in another city and has begun to travel with them (his name being Djash). While Djash may or may not be in love with Rinir, her heart is most definitely with Arladon ever since the night before he brought her to the home of the elves and confessed to her that while he was in love with her, he had to leave her there for her own safety. Nevertheless, Rinir leaves the fortress of the elves to not only find Arladon, but to also end a war (this scene will take place right after a battle), and find her foster brother (who has been captured by elf hunters). Song of Destiny, the first book in this trilogy, tells of how Rinir travels to find the elven safe place, while Lullabys of Brotherhood tells of how she leaves the safe place in order to fulfill her destiny. Well, both of them are much more complex than that, but I'm sure that this description is becoming very boring. This writing sample itself is much, MUCH more angsty than the actual stories; I hardly ever establish 'couples' in my writing the way I have with Rinir and Arladon.

Note: These ARE NOT based off of real people. This project has been around for four years now, so if you think it's you being pictured here, chances are you aren't even close!

If you would like a copy of Song of Destiny, feel free to ask. I will be more than happy to send it to parties that I do not think will 'steal' it. Otherwise, I will NOT have it available as a download.
